Ambush in Dealey Plaza How and Why They Killed President Kennedy eBook Robert Murdoch Reviews
I thought I had read every thing that's been written about this subject but this book had new and interesting information.
Would recommend it was very eye opening!
another chapter in this american tragedy
Always been interested in what actually happened to JFK that day, the WHO, and WHY of his killing. And it's clear to me that it was a big coverup, and people in high places, people the American people elected to protect and look out for our well being were only looking out for themselves that day. He wasn't perfect, but he was good enough to scare someone into taking this action. And his brother suffering the same fate because he was collecting data about that day to use in case he got to a high enough office to make something happen.
This is yet another book on the JFK Assassination that is very interesting. Most of the information contained in this book can be found in many of the other books written about this event. The one interesting claim presented here is that the fatal shot came from the "overflow drain" along Elm Street. I recently visited Dealey Plaza to review this very claim among others. I spoke with two investigators at the site who both informed me that a shot from that location has been proven to have been impossible. They both said that investigators had gone into the drain and noticed that from that location, they could not have seen Kennedy in the car and would not have been able to get a clear shot. One investigator also stated that the drain as it appears today has been enlarged and was much smaller in 1963. Photos appear to confirm this claim. I will point out that both the investigators I spoke with believe the assignation was a conspiracy. I did not go into the drain myself. I should have, because having said all this, I agree with the author. The fatal shot had to have come from the overflow drain based on the Zapruder film. There are other authors making this same claim and I believe them to be correct. I believe this is why President Kennedy's brain cannot be found to this day. It would prove where that fatal shot came from. Perhaps the most interesting part of the book is how the author points out the many ridiculous things that Oswald is supposed to have done, all of which incriminate him for the assassination. It screams set up and the author presents it very well. I recommend this book to all JFK Assassination readers as a very good summary of some of the issues surrounding this event. It should, however, be one of many books read to gain a full picture.
To anyone who has ever shot a firearm, the details described, affirm the first impression that Kennedy's killer was in front of him and that there had to be more than one shooter. The details are reasonably dispassionate are logically presented. The political background positions the assassination reasonably. This book is written and edited better than some others of similar thrust.
Good read. Not a big fan of lots of numbers. Well reaserched. Very insightful and well documented. Well worth the price.
the author repeats aspects of the case (sometimes word for word) throughout the book which I found annoying. He doesn't have to be repetitive to get a point across.
